The Exhibition Grounds get an upgrade.
The Bible Hill Exhibition Grounds have been a part of agriculture in Nova Scotia since the first exhibition was held on the grounds over 80 years ago. An agriculture-based community event, the annual exhibition showcases the latest in innovation and excellence in agriculture from around the province. It provides the general public with an opportunity to get up close with 4-H participants, livestock, and equipment, and learn about farming and its history in Nova Scotia, with the Farm Equipment Museum. The property is also home to the largest harness racing track in Nova Scotia with regular racing, simulcasts, and para-mutuel betting.
The 65-acre property is second to none for agricultural and community events with its central Nova Scotia location, ample parking, and partially-serviced campground lots—and now it’s getting even better.
New Event Management
A new partnership with RECC (Rath Eastlink Community Centre) ushers in a new era for the exhibition grounds. The exclusive management company has been appointed to enhance live entertainment initiatives that will shape the Central Nova Scotia Region. This partnership marks a significant milestone, as it reflects a shared vision for tourism growth, community development, and agricultural showcasing. The community can look forward to a modernized and enhanced facilities and expanded calendar of events that caters to all ages and interests. For more information, visit the RECC’s website
Upgrades
The Province of Nova Scotia, in conjunction with the Nova Scotia Farm Loan Board, have made investments into the property to unlock its full potential as a community-based event space. Refurbishment of the Grandstand and a new horse barn are both near completion— a modern facility to continue to attract new generations of harness racers and viewers. Other improvements in the other facilities on-site—including improved efficiency, lifespan, and modernization—are also planned for 2023.
